Exactly what I needed…
I like to be active, but need something to keep hair out of my face. It is only logical to wear your favorite sports team right? The only problem is that many of the New Era 59Fifty hats are either wool, cotton, or a combination of both, and they shrink when combined with water (sweat). Enter the 59Fifty batting practice hat, it is made exactly for what an active person needs, it is made for working out in. The hat is 100% polyester and has excellent ventilation, so it never shrinks, stays its shape and it keeps your head cool at the same time. The upside can be its downside as I know many people bank on shrinking their hats to get the exact fit to their head, this does not have that ability, so you have be careful to get it to the right size for your head.

Love this hat! But they all fit different!
This hat is fantastic, if you can get one that fits right! Let’s start off by talking about how these hats fit. I’ve ordered several of the new era batting practice hats (which is what this one is), and they’ve all fit quite different. I had to order three of these Rockies hats just to get the right one. Sometimes the crown is different, sometimes the fit is too tout or too loose, and sometimes they just don’t fit for a reason that I can’t put my finger on. However, on the third try for this hat, I got a fit I liked.Now on to the good! The material is lightweight and breathable, and it really does keep your head cooler! I typically sweat a lot during the summers here, and this hat definitely decreases the amount of sweat I have while wearing hats. I also love the alternate Rockies logo, and the color scheme of this hat. All in all, it’s a great new era hat when you get the right fit!Pros:-light weight-breathable and cool material-great color schemeCons:-may have to buy several to find the right fit

I haven’t had it long but it looks even better in person. Amazon is awesome for buying stuff like this but the selection for Cleveland sports hats is very minimal, it was hard finding one I liked. I didn’t want a generic on the field hat, but I didn’t want a odd colored one that just looks horrible. This is good if you want something different and not ridiculous. As it says in the description it’s not 100% cotton so it won’t get uncomfortable in the heat, you can tell the hat was made to breath and allow air flow to prevent sweat and heat.

I believe this hate is a fake or New Era got cheap
First the fit is horrible and the materials are itchy. Seems like they used cheap material..my other new era reds hat is very soft.The brim… is too stiffThe fit in the front of the hat is bad, it looks like an old man style with a large poof. It doesn’t contour to your head… looks very cheapMy other New Era does say made in USA and this one is made in China.. might have something to do with it.This hat is Either fake or New Era needs to drop the price and sell this hat at K-mart

New Era 59Fiftys are considered the benchmark for a reason. They’re great hats.The “Diamond Print” fabric does seem a little lighter/more breathable than the standard 59Fifty. With that said, it doesn’t quite shrink to fit like the standard 59Fifty. Mine is still a little loose after a couple weeks of wearing, while my other 59Fifty O’s hat (the one with the white front panel) is pretty tight. Both are 7 1/2 size. I’m not sure if it’s going to shrink or not, so be cautious of that when ordering your size. I almost wish I would have gone down a size.

Exactly as shown in the pictures. It fitted as expected so order your usual size for this hat. The diamond pattern material/texture means the black portion of the hat is a lot lighter than you’d see on your typical cotton or polyester new era cap.
