Good ole time rock n roll
There’s a few tunes that I’m not into but a lot of tunes I really like.

Kick out the jams!
I finally broke down and ordered this CD after hearing about it for years. 16 hits of various degrees. Includes such gems as Dirty Water by The Standells, Incense and Peppermints by Strawberry Alarm Clock, Time Won’t Let Me by The Outsiders (even though I prefer Iggy Pop’s version), and the irreplaceable Double Shot (of my Baby’s Love by Swingin’ Medallions! But wait, there’s more: you also get to rock out to Wooly Bully by Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs, Louie, Louise by The Kingsmen and the original edition of Bow Wow’s punk hit I Want Candy by The Strangeloves. Don’t knock the rock man, turn it up loud!

Quite pleased with the sound and selection on this CD
Ordered this CD because it had several songs on it from the sixties that I have on cassettes but not on CD, that I haven’t found on other CD compilations. Quite pleased with the sound and selection on this CD.

Perfection!
This is the best collection of songs from my teen years in San Berdoo listening to the radio, and some of the first rock concerts…remember when you saw 4 or 5 bands, and for $1.25?! This is a fabulous mix of songs for die-hards!

awesome
This may be the best CD I’ve ever purchased. It isn’t one of those CD’s that has a song here or a song there that I liked but, this baby really rocks song after song after song. I highly recommend for you old rockers this brings back alot of memories.

Garage gold
This was lot of fun. I was a little guy when I was seeing the Seeds and the Blues Magoos and Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs showing up on television music shows and on AM radio stations. If you enjoy garage rock, it’s here. A little psychedelic,it’s here. Punk or what may be referred to as pre-punk, check. Have fun.

It brings back a lot of great memories. I had no idea I was listening to the earliest form of punk music.

Este disco lo debe tener todo coleccionista, ya que viene una canción difÃcil de encontrar como lo es The Shape of Things to Come de Max Frost (es la versión original)

This “Nuggets From Nuggets” comp tries to distill the very best from the 4-disc Nuggets box set (all American acts) which in turn had been an expansion of the original Lenny Kaye Nuggets comp on 2 LPs. All the tunes are classified as ‘garage band rock / psychedelia’ even though most of them were professionally recorded. They were, however, often as not, ‘one-shots’ or ‘one-hit-wonders’, or what have you. This particular compilation of compilations includes 8 tunes from Disc 1, 9 from Disc 2, none (!) from Disc 3, and 3 from Disc 4. Compilations like this are almost never satisfactory, while this one (a subset of the big comp) really misses a lot of good stuff. However, it’s a worthy effort for those who can’t afford the (increasingly rare) box set. Mention should be made of the ‘sequel’ Nuggets II, which collects similar material, but from the UK and the British Commonwealth and a few from continental Europe and South America (no US content). Lots of familiar acts here, yet almost none from the so-called British Invasion. Of note: three Canadian acts (the Haunted (Montreal), the Ugly Ducklings (Toronto) and the early Guess Who (Winnipeg) each have a song. Unfortunately, the second set is priced way beyond its probable worth. IMO

wish they would have included all the top 40 singles from the box set but there is a good selection here
